Dr. Gang ZHAO is the Director of Global Innovation Center China, International Visiting Scholar of U.S. Department of State, and Director of Soft Science Organization of China Science and Technology Promotion Center. He is also the executive director of China High and New Technology Industry Promotion Association, the Executive director of China Soft Science Research Association and deputy Secretary-General. Visiting professor, New York School of Energy and Water Resources, adjunct or visiting professor, National Defense University, China University of Geosciences, etc.

His research areas are international innovation competition and collaboration, national development strategy, energy policy, science and technology policy and international science and technology collaboration.
